House on Louis Blanc street version 2

description
A single family house placed in a protected area, one of the most sought residential areas of Bucharest, right behind the government building, the project aims to have a neutral expression, a minimalistic one, that does not compete with the buildings from the area, many of them old and with great architectural value. The desire to have the garage at the ground level resulted in the half-level solution, where the semi-basement next to the technical spaces has also a generous room that can accommodate several functions from office, bedroom to home cinema, opening towards a spacious English courtyard, with windows from top to bottom, increasing the level of comfort and privacy of a room that is halfway in the ground. The half-level solution gives a spatial fluidity between the lobby and dining room and between this and the living room, to the bedroom areas. Also to amplify the effect of this solution over the stair area, without counter-steps, therefore more transparent, there is a skylight that brings the light in the middle of the composition. Between the semi-basement and the living room area, bordered by the bedrooms, there is a glass surface, allowing, after entering the house, a perspective on the dining room area and also a view at the garden behind the building. Considering that it is a relatively big house with a high comfort level, the facades were treated properly with ventilated walls and apparent brick finish, a resistant material that ages well. For a more natural integration on site we chose, for the brick color, light ocher, a color that resonates well with the neighboring facades.
