| The interior design of the HELM A.G. offices is another eloquent example of the approached direction by the architect in his interior design projects. We can talk about a certain line that is already recognizable of the overall image, that coherently integrates smaller project details: material alignments and suitable shades through similarity or contrast, and the surprise-element, a gravitational bizarre, of a massive surface that floats over a frail and transparent one.
Three-dimensional continuity seems to be a concern of |
this project. The long and narrow counter that delimits the reception folds to the floors quotation followed by a short, horizontal trail and rising again on the vertical to create a waiting area for two or three persons.
Besides, the piece of furniture that serves as a coffee-table – made out of wooden boards with warm colors – that seems to extend at the floors level, through a carefully studied game of textures. The project received 3rd place at the Bucharest Architecture Annual, in the Interior Design section in 2003. |
