Helm offices

description
The interior design of the HELM A.G. offices is another eloquent example of the approached direction by the architect in his interior design projects. We can talk about a certain line that is already recognizable of the overall image, that coherently integrates smaller project details: material alignments and suitable shades through similarity or contrast, and the surprise-element, a gravitational bizarre, of a massive surface that floats over a frail and transparent one. Three-dimensional continuity seems to be a concern of this project. The long and narrow counter that delimits the reception folds to the floors quotation followed by a short, horizontal trail and rising again on the vertical to create a waiting area for two or three persons. Besides, the piece of furniture that serves as a coffee-table – made out of wooden boards with warm colors – that seems to extend at the floors level, through a carefully studied game of textures. The project received 3rd place at the Bucharest Architecture Annual, in the Interior Design section in 2003.
