Afrodita Beauty Salon

description
Located at the ground floor of an apartment building on Dorobantilor Boulevard, the salon is naturally illuminated from the boulevard’s side, resulting one of the important problems of this project, namely a more efficient use of natural light . Since the specific activities of a beauty salon require a certain amount of privacy as well, it lead to a solution that filters natural light through a succession of transparent and translucent glass panels. The blasted glass panels, with an approximate 2 meter height, separate the space without isolating it from the surroundings. The entrance is strongly emphasized by a red tube that mediates the relationship between the street life and the activities from the inside. The salon’s has an elegant, exclusive atmosphere , while respecting the highest standards of hygiene: white was chosen for the walls, the ceiling and the floor and in order to create a sense of unity for the space, the horizontal joints of the cladding panels continue with the vertical ones. There are also a number of contrasts, like some counterpoints in the setting: white-red, cold-warm (stone-glass, stainless steel-leather) transparent-opaque. The furniture was made and selected especially for this place, enhancing the overall stylistic consistency of the interior design.
